It want to be what it is not, something with some reflextion and deeph in it.
Bad, and with time even more.
I will see Bunuel films again one of theis day, I mean his Mexican period.
Follow Ups:
who has strong faith, but who had to struggle to attain it. The impact upon his life, his family I found intense. Benicio is one of the best actors around. His match, Penn, was weaker in his role but it was a difficult part: the weak part of the film. The mother's descent into her personal hell also impressed. Yes, it was a bit contrived (I won't ruin the ending for those who haven't seen it) but I don't mean to imply it was a classic film, or anything. It is, however, a very good film starring three of the best actors around today.
Actually in my not so humble opinion, I found the actresses delivering a better job as the male actors.
But this film is a failure from A to Z. And I am quite confident that it will vanished to the point of non-existence in time.
BTW how did you found " Lost in Translation " ?
Well, I'll put it on my long list, just to have a first hand impression. But see if you can get the Love's a Bitch - while still not too deep that one has enough human interest, I think. Considering, of course, that this is not De Sica.
Done. If you want and come here I can give it to you ( US version ) I will be glad to get rid of...He-he.
We will discuss the deal over a bottle of a good riesling.
Conclued!
