You might want to check out 'Blood Simple'. It is the first film by the Coen Brothers and is now out in DVD.
A truly amazing film, IMO.

And "Blood Simple" is a far better film than "Flesh and Bone". BTW, the director's cut of B/S is shorter than the original. I can only think of one other instance where that is so and that film is "Tom Jones" where the director's cut is six minutes shorter than the original.
