Its main attraction is seeing Tautou in a polar opposite of Amelie. You could do whole lot worse.

( huh? )
I would not call it fluff, though it was not earthshattering. I did enjoy the film. I have seen Tautou in Happenstance (pre-Amelie), and that role was more similar to Amelie. The films I have seen her in since Amelie are "He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not" (good), "Dirty Pretty Things" (very good), and "Auberge espagnole, L" (good). Her post-Amelie roles are very different. It appears that she has made a decision to move from that type of charachter.
Is someone seriously suggesting that Audrey Tatou was in "Last Tango?" That was 30 years ago! Maria Schneider is the actress who got caught up with Brando in "Tango." Or are y'all just pulling our legs?
She should have got the role, but at the last moment she desist.
Well now it is almost impossible to think of someone else than Tatou.
I may pretend that Emily would have done a better apparence.
I know she is English and Tatos SOooo French.
Fate made the role for Audrey. I really can't see Watson doing it as well or as naively charming. With Watson, Chirac may never have even seen it. 8^)
I can see her doing better, but of course would she have the same innocent charm as a French, in what it is expect for foreign men?
