Need title help w/old Black&White Film

This was an old black and white movie probably filmed in the 40�s.
From what I can remember, a guy gets invited to an island to hunt, but he becomes the hunted. Professional hunters give him a head start and he uses his survival skills to try and escape or hide. Anyone remember this movie? I hope I gave you enough info

Might the movie you're asking about be The Most Dangerous Game? I seem to recall that there have been several variations of that theme, the most recent featuring Ice-T.

  That was my pick. It was filmed in 1932 in tandem with "King Kong" and shares some of its props and stars.
