namely "Sunset Boulevard" and "Sabrina".All things considered, "Stalag 17" is several notches below "Boulevard", but still fun to watch. I agree about the dated humor.
Obvious observation--the '70s TV show "Hogan's Heroes" draws much of its material from "Stalag 17", although the general tone of the film (and the outcome) is much darker and sinister.

I always knew that Hogan's Heroes was based upon Stalag 17. I have always wondered what, if any, reaction the actors and makers from the movie had about Hogan's.
