I just watched The Right Stuff DVD a few days ago. My version had the Glenn Orbital scene and the aboriginal fire scene. I was not aware that there were two DVD versions of the movie. Anyway I don't doubt that your scenes are cut out, and I think it is a real bummer. Maybe they were trying to make it shorter to appeal to a wider range of people.....
