I always have mixed emotions about Fassbinder's work. You can always see great talent and power in them, but also something unpleasant in many. What a tortured short life...Anyway, this is a well known film, and if you haven't seen it, get it.
Follow Ups:
Although the DVD I have is region 1 and I still have a cheap single region player (R2). Saw it many years ago and had my eyes opened to Fassbinder's work.
