In Reply to: Yup , me too. No special effects, just a good story, very fine writing... posted by jonbee on January 29, 2005 at 08:53:21:
I saw it today and am overwhelmed. Fortunately I had no idea where the story was goiing so 2/3 of the way through I was amazed as it veered off in unexpected directions. This one will haunt me for days. It hope it wins a lot of Academy Awards. Everyone is justifiably talking about Hilary Swank but Eastwood's acting is IMHO the best he has ever done. I particularly liked the ending. The industrially bleak washed out cinematography added greatly to the overall effect.

I can't wait for this on DVD.
