And one who did not actually write a script but rather had one of his most famous works used as the basis - Ambrose Bierce "An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge". BTW, has that episode been shown on TV since the 60s. Somewhere I read or heard that it has not been broadcast for about 30 years. Is it available anywhere. For those of us lucky enough to have seen it, we are fortuante as it clearly fits into the "Twilight Zone" motif and is a classic, both literary and video.

...short (20 minute) movie! Some years ago we used it to bridge in between two groups and the public were mesmerized...
No idea on availability. But I do remember seeing a video of it in high school after reading the short story. I even went on and did a narrative speech of the story. Good 'ole Peyton Farquhar .
