What is your best guess as to how many times Bill Murray relived the same day? At one point, when he's going into a movie theatre, his character says he'd seen the movie a hundred times, which would make me guess at least 100 times...anyone have a more definitive answer, or guess?

I've pondered this question. For me, the film most strongly suggests the answer in the progress that Murray makes in going from a sheer beginner to an accomplished jazz/blues pianist. How long does that take? Years, certainly.

According to Roger Ebert's great movie review, Ramis said that the original screenplay had him going through 10,000 "cycles", which I would imagine would be 10,000 days, which would equate to approximately 27.397 years. According to Ramis, in the film, Murray went through about 40 "cycles."

Its not kind to organized religion. However, IIRC, it makes some powerful points about the nature of the unexplainable. Been 20 yrs and my memory is fuzzy on the details, but it left a very strong impression.
