The level of talent in this film raised my hopes. The problem is that I never felt there was a smooth connection between the historical story and the modern story. I would have preferred that the modern story get lost, and spend the time on the historical story. Every time the film jumped to the modern story, I was disappointed. But then, as Rico writes, we would never have seen the lovely Elizabeth Hurley topless.
