  I find it better than 'Heat' and the soundtrack by Tangerine Dream just furthers the atmosphere. I actually think it's his best film.

  Couldn't agree with you any more...he seems to make a lot of films that I like...I feel "Mohicans" is top notch directing and my favorite "Mann"

      Michal Mann produced and directed Thief . and in addition did the screenplay from the book The Home Invaders by Frank Hohimer.

      The movie was the basic progenitor of the style developed by Mann in Miami Vice .
