Managed to catch the movie "Ravenous" on HBO the other night and I must say I thought it was pretty good. I'd almost call it a black comedy with several sly one-liners sprinkled throughout the flick. Basically a no-name cast with the exception of Jeffery Jones (Amadeus, Betelgeuse) it might be classified as a guilty pleasure. Definitely worth a look.
Ravenous is definately a comedy noir. A very different film with a quirky score that really works. Not a masterpiece, and not for everyone, but a pretty entertaining movie that's off the beaten path.
Hello
I enjoyed that one and what I thought set it apart from the rest
was the sound track. The music creeped me out even without the
visuals.

Yep, the soundtrack was most unusual. In many ways, seemed to pay homage to native Americans in it's tone. Almost incongruous in spots, but that's what made it so striking.
the trailers made it appear as a horror film... which it is only in part. if they wouldve pushed it as the black comedy it was, it might have made a better showing at the theaters. great soundtrack.
