3 Days remains an excellent film that has stood the test of time and then some.
The comments Cliff Robertson's character makes to Redford's at the end is priceless, something to the effect that people don't care HOW their gov't. has to provide for them, just as long as it (petroleum in this case) is done.
Iraq is proof positive.

...where I believe he was portraying the Devil - was adequate. Read Jonathan Valin's excellent review of the film in "The Perfect Vision" if you can find the back issue.
Valin also wrote one of the best reviews and most coherant explanations of Lynch's "Mullholland Drive" I've read.

I for one didn't think he was all that bad in the Kubick film.

  But I was a bit disappointed with "Interpreter". Found it a bit too jumbled in the plot department. I did appreciate Penn's performance--best of the lot.
  Small continuity potatoes: in one scene Penn was interviewing Kidman and everytime the edit came back to her, her hair was in a different place on her forehead. That immediately poked me in the eye. That's the disadvantage of those freepflowing, floppy hairsytles.
