is there a TLA near you?do you get them thru the mail?
I'm stuck watching whatever the local grocery store carries. I tried going to a Blockbuster (all that's available in the 'burbs) but the experience was so horrible I vowed never to return.
American Beauty goes on my "worse of all time" list, and it earns that distinction because I watched the whole thing, waiting to see what made it so "good".

do you get them thru the mail? No, unfortunately the TLA on the 4th St. is about 45 minutes away, but right here on 202 (a corner with Silverside Rd) there is a wonderful store called Cinema Video (I believe), a true hole-in-the-wall not even visible from any main road. It is pretty well stocked with good films. I usually make up a list on Friday before going there - they have that five-for-five-bucks-till-Monday deal that I can't refuse.
We have been doing this for almost two years now, and we are getting to the bottom of their barrel, unfortunately. I went there lasy time with the list of Gabin's and Noiter's films and they had none. So I just randomly picked some films from their "Verious Foreign Films" shelf. But they are light years ahead of your usual stores.
One area where you might want to look is around the university - you are not far from the UoP - right? There should be some stores with good selections.
We have an account at TLA and had rented there - we would get some on Saturday and I would then FedEx the tapes back on Monday - they are OK with such arrangement. You might want to try that too. We will probably have to start going there soon too, because this place here is almost gone through by now.

We were fortunate that a friend of ours told us about this place - we would not find it otherwise. I would check the phone books first - then call those places (no large chains, of course). Somewhere in your area there must be a good store for the movie lovers.

I got luckier - I only watched part of it. The scene where he undresses the girl almost made me puke - the "director" has no taste at all. Perhaps the love and erotic scenes are where the director's taste is probed the most. Seriously, I had more respect for Kevin. But perhaps money talks to strongly these days.
try Movies Unlimited. they have a store on Castor avenue between cottman ave and Knorr street (i can't remember the exact intersection) in Northeast Philadelphia.
