I loved this film and think it has many memorable moments. You could easily follow the many charactersd and stories, some of them interlinked.

  In the sense that both "Mystic river" and "Million Dollar Baby" are manipulative. But "ham fisted"? Hardly. I differ on that and thought the director showed maturity.
