A very underrated movie which approaches very good. Laura Linney is her much better than average self, though she still seems to hold back and never quite has a truly emotional scene (even when agreeing to a major "event").
Liam Neeson, as he was in Schindler, is miscast. Why this guy just can't accept strong leading roles I don't know. He ain't a business man type nor is he an academic. Sheesh. Note to Liam: there is a REAL paucity of strong leading men. Why try and force yourself into a niche already crammed when your natural talents go begging?
Anyhow, it's a fascinating flick that shows how far we've retreated as a society: the Kinsey report would be impossible today; Rockefeller wouldn't fund it and no university would take the hit for such a prof.

...and I thought Neeson and Linney were well cast and did an excellent job. I'd actually say the movie is a little overrated - some included it in the best of the year.
