I'd prefer to keep politics out of this so it doesn't degrade into the "Outside Asylum" but you truely wouldn't have someone arrested to prevent them from killing someone you love?

Isn't crime PREVENTION much more critcal and important than punishment? After all when the victim is already dead what is the value of exacting punishment on them?
