Bergman, Garbo, Grace Kelly and Catherine Deneuve are distant, beautiful on camara and are attractive for that reason. If one thinks of sexy as appealing only to an area between the legs, I agree. But I think attraction encompasses more than that.

On my part, I never found (until The Misfits) Monroe sexy (people who tend to fat excite me not). Bardot and Fonda (in Barberella) were "sex kittenish" cute. Sharon Tate was beautiful and sexy both. But the one who got me going was Ursulla Andress, who was tall, lithe, moved like she knew what to do in bed, incredibly bright and very attractive besides. I do not know that she ever made a good movie! She invested so well she did not have to.
