Too bad I am really scraping the bottom of the barrel now. This was the only film from the trilogy that the store had (the other two being L'Eclipse and La Notte). Thy didn't even have the Passenger (Profession: Reporter)...

When it comes to true classics like that, my words are simply too pale. Books are written on this subject. It is unquestionably one of the films that shall forever remain as something that we need to return to every now and then.
I also hope that they WILL finally restore the films and we will get good quality DVD of the trilogy. Anyone heard of such plans?
The way it is now, some will be turned off by the poor quality of the tape - although I sincerely hope you will be able to see through it. It is more than worth it.
