Dutch film "1-900" is one very strong contender for this title. This film about phone sex is few steps beyond being not too family oriented. It has a strong potential for causing a divorce. Messy divorce...However, if you are one tough viewer who had already sucessfully mastered the "Cook...", the "Salo" and "In the Realm of Senses" and still feel like you could use a bit more, look at this one.
Has anyone seen it? I watched most of it alone. My wife refused to continue and left the room. Later she's got curious and started asking probing queasion, but I kept my cool, I would just roll my eyes and groan... That caused me do with no dinner the next day, but that price was reasonable, I thought.
Just one qoute from a review: "Theo van Gogh (distant relative of Vincent), the enfant terrible of the Dutch film 'industry' has created a pretty entertaining short movie."
Yeah, quite entertaining, alright...
BTW, the original title is 06. Guess how does it become 1-900 in translation.
Follow Ups:
BTW, have you seen "Man Bites Dog", the violent satire about tabloid TV at its worst?
...was it good?
...but Criterion thought enough of it to release it. I think it was a Belgian film, B&W, in a mock documentary style in which a TV crew follows the exploits of a hit man. You knew where this was going, but it had some pretty horrifying stuff nonetheless. I'm still waiting for the video release of a Japanese cult film in a similar vein called "Evil Dead Trap".
