If you want to stay foreign, then the Russian "The Return" (Vozvraschenie) is another great human film. There are many others, so I will step aside and let others bombard you.

Thank you but your recommendations are surly welcome so if you have more to recommend please do so! Thanks again,
You know I am not shy. So let me add some absolutely marvelous human films to the list today (also discussed recently) - the three works by Ermanno Olmi: Il Posto, I Fidanzati and The Tree of Wooden Clogs... the human films just don't get any better than these.I would also include in that list two works by Claire Denis: Beau Travail and Friday Night - the two are very different, but both superb and examine different facets of human emotions and interactions.
Thank you very much! That sounds like some great films. Will check Library first; they seem to have a great stock of dvd's. If I find one and watch it, I'll post what I thought about it.

I am waiting for the next work.
According to some minds here, you were not supposed to enjoy it.
