  I also finished this Season 1 DVD set recently. It went faster than I had planned, instead of watching 1 episode per day, I was compelled to go for 2 or even 3. Very well written and the salty language is entertaining in its own right. Great atmosphere, even though I like the Sopranos and Six Feet Under, this one was more gripping, maybe those others are getting a bit stale. Looking forward to Season 2 whenever it comes out. Meanwhile I have Season 1 of The Wire ready whenever I get a chance.

  Second season of Deadwood good as well. Carnivale is a dark tease, I like it a lot, it had a great cliffhanger ending the second season ( I am a fan of well done cliffhangers.)
