The first reaction often leaves lasting mark. Since I saw most of these when already an adult, not when they came out, they certainly did not create any strong reaction in me. I think I saw Exorcist in 1980, even though I knew all about it from the books. It was a complete ho-hum.

But I in general do not consider all those devil/posession films worth my time.
