This is a formulaic study of internet dating among forty something divorced people. John Cusack and Diane Lane star and are assisted by Christopher Plummer and Stockard Channing. Cusack builds wooden racing sculls and Lane is a kindergarden teacher. Lane comes from a large family and at one point in trying a first date with each of the 18 ad responses she gets ends up meeting her own father, played by Plummer. Lane and Cusack get off to a rocky start but there is some chemistry there and over time they are drawn back together. At one point each thinks the other is dating someone else but it all ends well, if predictably.

Cusack's best for me is The Grifters, which I'm quite sure you don't want your teen daughter watching.

I would say "formulaic" and "predictably" constitute opinions. And most reviewers I read recount a semblence of plot and story.
