Personally I think Liam Neeson would be the best. He commands presence has a great voice can do the action sequences (see Batman Begins) has the looks - is tall and strong ala Sean Connery. Still is young enough to do a number of these films and isn;t quite the A-list anymore so I doubt it would hurt his career - it might help.
Follow Ups:
not much of a younger alternative to Brosnan...Although a much better actor in my opinion...Of course I'm partial to Neeson as people tell me all the time that I look like him...
He looks younger -- perhaps because he's a lankier fellow than Brosnon. But yes 53 may scare of the execs because they probably want someone for 3 films and every other year they seem to do one. We're getting stuck with a no name -- might be good but who knows.
This is the last thing I read about the new Bond
"Speculation is forming that Brit Daniel Craig, 37, is the new James Bond, having beat out Clive Owen.
Apparently, Pierce Brosnan was dumped after demanding US $42 million for the next Bond flick. If this salary demand was true, then one suspects Brosnan really didn’t have his heart in it and knew they would turn him down or make him even wealthier with the outrageous payday.
Word is that Eon Productions has offered Craig a three-film contract."
Has done some interesting roles thus far....this might make his career take off....Has a huge female fan base as well....Get those wives interested in accompanying their husbands to the latest bond flick....
;0)
It's maybe good to change style, have a Bond that is in his seductive '50s?
Play more on the character, as with Connery.
It would give the series a new lease of life.
