In Reply to: Sahara - the remake with Bogart was bad, the remake with James Belushi even worse posted by Victor Khomenko on August 22, 2005 at 19:56:45:
... the five minutes (all that I could stomach) of the "newest" Sahara, and Belushi was just a horrible choice. Bad, bad idea for a remake. I loved the Korda version, and it remains one of my favorite studio war pictures. I can't wait to follow your suggestion, because if it is as fine as you suggest, I'll be a happy man.
Regards and thanks

I realize it may be very hard to find the original film here, called Trinadtsat' ("13"), but if you manage you will get an intense work devoid of any Hollywood sheen... OK, OK, so there will definitely be some Soviet propaganda, but the film remains as raw and honest as they come... if my memory is serving me right.
