Saw the preview the other day and was befuddled. Why not give us a full-length animated? She doesn't have the sharp features required of the character. Oh well, my curiosity with buy a ticket when the time comes.

I'd see her in anything without caring what it was....I've loved her since she debuted in The Devil's Advocate...
...was actually in Two Days in the Valley (w/James Spader and Danny Aiello), not The Devil's Advocate.

Because animated features aimed at adults, especially sci-fi, tend not to do well at the box office. I saw the preview too, and was impressed. I wouldn't have been had it been animated.

I just watched the trailer, and I actually have to agree with the original poster that she didn't look quite right for the part. Aeon Flux is a tough femme fatale...and Charlize Theron has a look that is a little too soft and vulnerable (even with the dyed black hair). Obvious alternatives would have been Angelina Jolie or Milla Jovovich, although since they've done similar "tough vg/comicbook girl" roles (Tomb Raiders, Resident Evil), I'm sure they didn't find it to be an interesting role.

I, for one, will not complain about Charlize Theron if they leave the costume unmodded... :-p
