has them so I get 'em for free.
I'm a bit surprised a Frenchman enjoys them... they're so British.
Out of curiosity, do you appreciate Brit humor, such as that of Peter Sellers?
Follow Ups:
Well you should have sarted with T.T.S & S !
We have discussed this with Dui months back too.
Look at the thread.
England ( irland & Scotland inclued ) is (are ) the country ( ies ) I most love of all. Followed by Italy and France.
Holland is not bad either...The have a ceratin kind of humour...Peter Sellers? I can not stand him. And he seemingly also was an asshole of first rate. ( con )
What has he to do with English humour? His roles maybe....
Sellers IS British comedy, in the way that few other artists dominate a medium.
Lolita. You don't see his genius?
Or Strangelove?
Or... any number of 50s and 60s comedies, some with Terry-Thomas?
I guess you never forgave him for Clouseau, eh?
No. His text was, his directors were. And I clearly indicate that ( ...his roles )
Clouseau? Who is it?
PS: You never will got me on this feet, because it won´t fit me...As I am pro- human and not pro- nation.
work and don't know his portrayal of Inspector Clouseau in A Shot in the Dark and others in that series? The very fine Herbert Lom is his nemesis.
j´aime autant IC que PS....How about a course in irony?
..is almost mystical humour.
Patrick,Have you ever watched this series?
It's up there for me along with Black Adder.
Hello Tosh!Which series?
Patrick
Patrick,Allo Allo is the series that made fun of the resistance in France and did a superb job on the Nazis.
My favorite Black Adder period was the WW1 series that nailed the war and all of its stupidity 100%.
laughing at the Nazis. Somehow, he doesn't think they're hated enough. (As if a few laughs would make the Holocaust less horrible....) Gallows humor, is all.
Oh! I forgot! Actually I saw it, as it is a favourite from one of my Germany friends ( Italian origin ) and he " forced " me to watch it. The German accent was funny. And the scenes in a French bar are still in memory!
