I keep thinking his finest hour was the HBO production of Barbarians at the Gate - a hilarious comedy.
"The Americanization Of Emily".....funny that both he and Julie Andrews agree that this is their favorite film that they have been in....I will need to rent it one of these days....
I'd add "Murphy's Romance" to his greatest roles also.BTW, Norman, Oklahoma, his hometown (about 50 miles down the road from me) is in the planning stage of a town square memorializing him. Too bad he didn't get great roles earlier in his career. But he was, IMO, one of the best American television actors around.
