A very good Kaszakh film... not the country you would normally associate with fine movie making, but still, quite good.
Patrick, I am sure you will like it. In some sense reminds The Man without a Past - a good human film.

Having spent few more hours thinking about that film, it is settling in nicely, with stronger emotions, as images get sorted out and played back.
Nice... really nice... some wonderful cinematography, making artwork out of desolate landscape, poetic and poignant, almost surreal.
And the three missfits, lumping together at the end, full of defiance facing incredibly hard life... beautiful!
Zinka is simply great, and she only made one movie!
So it is easy for me to elevate this film to the MUST status. A good film about humans doesn't happen all that often.
