DVDs still look like network's rebroadcast of Stargate SG-1 to me. I constantly get distracted by the perception of moving pixels instead of moving pictures like a GIF files. & complete frame dropage which is extremely annoying. I agree with you that DVDs are here to stay. It just looks to me like the way original CD players sounded. I'm sure they'll eventually correct them. BTW, I agree some DVDs are just coasters. I'm not talking about those. Right now the biggest flaw are the expansion rates which makes me wonder what the CL-25 looks like with it's redundant parallel processing.
