the original was good but I think Brando's was incredibly inventive and riveting. An English fop who is forced to grow up.
Though this movie was slammed when it came out, I think it wears well. Damn good score, too.

I think all three Mutiny's have something to offer. I thought Anthony Hopkin's Bligh in "The Bounty" was very human - not the "Caligula" reading Charles Laughton gave in the first. I also enjoyed how "The Bounty" captured the sexual energy of the island. Brando's always a fun watch though , isn't he ? ""
