Announced for release on 1/10/06 @ SRP $26.99. Great news for Peckinpah movie fans . . . finally we will have the whole movie, hopefully, on one side of a disk, rather than split.

The Wild Bunch is a classic which broke the mold of the western myth; it actually deconstructs the traditional western film and tells a more allegorical, relativistic story. In fact, The Wild Bunch changed the way we view the western culture by creating a whole new dynamic for gritty realism. After The Wild Bunch westerns would never be the same again.BTW, Straw Dogs and The Getaway are okay, but The Wild Bunch is Peckinpah's most realized vision and few critics will dispute that it's his greatest achievement. From my perspective, The Wild Bunch is his most moving, innovative film, but most of his films are rewarding fare.
Cross of Iron + Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia + Ride the High Country + Ballad of Cable Hogue are also very fine films

Thanks for the reference; the link provided detailed information on the release (from www.digitalbits.com, I just knew the titles of the four movies).I'll probably buy just The Wild Bunch SE, and perhaps rent the other three since I've never seen them.
Once Upon The Time In the West is my favorite Western, & Wild Bunch is firmly in second place.
