Good old Hollywood seems torn between commercial success and the will of a number of directors to go a little away from all the stereotypes.
So what comes out is a bastard.
A little James Bond with a zest of character analysis and a prise of " Superman " pared with a mix of " French Connection and more " Bat "....
Curiously C. Bale looks like C. Reeves!
Digital and more digital picture and sound, of course. A larmoyant and so wrong acting Michael Cain, terribly difficult to look at.
Follow Ups:
I am not a fan of most recent hollywood productions, like most everyone else. So to make examples of them seems pointless.Lets move on to new areas.
Well someone is going to see them ( like me in theses case ) of course logically it is a waste of time, and one should avoid them.
But for luck, or for un-luck, we donīthave to be all of the time all of the way logical...
and I still have hope for something worthwhile to come out of hollywood sometime. I guess the best we can expect is to be mildly entertained once in a while.
Yes the best we can hope for.

To me, the whole was greater than the sum of its parts. The conclusion was somewhat of a confusing mess. I would disagree on one part, I thought Caine did a very good job. Nice to see him in any role.

"The whole was greater...." was what I meant! As for Michael it is to my greatest despair that I wrote that...
The best Batman movie, hands down. Of course there will be sequels.
...the best was the first with Keaton as Batman and Nicholson as the Joker. Guess it depends on whether you prefer the older style Batman comic or the newer Dark Knight. This one is up there with it, though.
Michelle as Catwoman sealed the deal for me..Even at her age she is still the hottest woman in Hollywood! Followed of course by Ms. Theron....
I thought Keaton (although I admire him) was a poor choice for Batman in that film.
I actually thought Keaton did a great job. It was Jack Nicholson I couldn't stand in that movie...
