Read in the Archives about Lynch's "Lost Highway" being confusing; well,
I certainly got lost driving down that winding highway with Pullman too.
Really enjoyed Lynch's "Wild At Heart", which won a Cannes Film Award,
strong performances by Cage and Dern, but the winner in my book was
Dafoe as the smalltime rottentoothed gangster.
Possibly the most depressing movie I've seen, while simultaneously holding
me glued via creating a sort of morbid fascination, was Lynch's cult
classic, "Eraserhead". A truly sick film! - AH
Lynch's movies are always interesting even when I don't like them. I didn't care for "Eraserhead" or "Wild at Heart", but "Blue Velvet" is one of my favorite movies. Dennis Hopper is great in that one. Haven't seen "Lost Highway" yet.
Yes, "Blue Velvet" was pretty good; Hopper played his typicalcrazyself, but
my favorite was Dean Stockwell, what a strange dude! As you might know,
Dean grew from a child actor, worth seeing is his role in "The Dunwich
Horror". Good luck on "Lost Highway", let us know you opinion after
viewing. - AH
