the kind of copy-protection used is likely not any different than any you've seen on your other discs. It should play fine.
Giant FBI warnings are cropping up, too. It's just the movie industry flaring its nostrils, trying to sound forceful. Don't be alarmed.

I think its with the newest Sony CD releases (that feature copy protection.) Frankly I think copy protection is b.s., but is of little concern to me. I figure its only a (short) period of time before people figure out how to circumvent the protection. That being said, the idea of having spyware put onto my computer w/o my knowledge really pisses me of. That tactic seems a bit suspect.

  the goal of the copy protected CD is to force the consumer to play alternate files on the computer- some protected format like Windows Media Audio. Therefore, the CD may in some cases try to install a driver on the computer that prevents the disk drive from reading the actual normal CD (wav) files. This is not the way copy protection on a DVD works. For the time being, I think you're safe from DVDs that try to install executables on your machine.

    I don't listen to CD's (or watch DVD's) on my computer anyway, so I'm not too concerned about that aspect of the copywrite protection.
