Even if Ethan was Debbie's biological father, why would it necessarily follow that 100% of his vengence was reserved for Martha, and none for Aaron? IYO, did Ethan have no love at all for Aaron? Is it possible that his love for Martha was simply greater than his love for his brother and that some of his vengence was due to his brother's death? ~AH

I really can't answer based on what is in the film. All I can point to is the obvious strong feelings between Ethan and Martha. Part of Ethan's obsession is due to the fact that his mother was killed by Companches (we see that on the gravestone the little girl hides behind.
