No tie, no but and if, no more and less, just 3 ( THREE } favorite
films of Hitch"s. Where ( 1 ) is best.My list of top three:
1) Rear Window
2) Vertigo
3) Notorious
Follow Ups:
1. Rear Window
2. The Man Who Knew Too Much (Stewart/Day version)
3. Vertigo
1. Rear Window scared me more than any other movie I've seen. (I was 12 when my dad took me to see it in small town theater).2. Vertigo is haunting and well done.
3. Pyscho is the scariest movie I ever saw. Notice the difference in my number one and this one.
A few comments. If this were a "top four" I would have included Rebecca. I thought The Birds was a little hokey. I thought North by Northwest was very hokey.
I was a little surprised that "Young & Innocent", The Birds" and
"To Catch a Thief" were included and somehow "Strangers on a Train"
never made it. With seven different films made to one's top list, it's
no wonder that he is called "The Master."Joseph
Psycho
North By Northwest
The Birds

...right now, we're working our way through the first season DVDs of "Alfred Hitchcock Presents". Some great stuff from the 1950s!
Me too. I knew already some of them. But this is a REAL pleasure. All episodes are strong, no weakness.
...are the DVDs of "Twilight Zone" second season.
I never saw them. Let us know your finding!
How was the first season?
..the second season Twilight Zone came out recently and is pretty pricey so it's the only one I've picked up so far.
Although I feel increasingly guilty leaving off Shadow of a Doubt.
