left me breathless! Wonderful flick. Love it. I'm keeping this rental DVD for a while. yep. recommended.i used to like the idea behind Groundhog Day--so the execution didn't bother me much, until...
films like "Lola" get your mind right--without needing dialog to "explain" how you are supposed to feel.
Now, if I could get it without the subtitles....!
Run Lola. RUN!
wish Kubrick could have seen this film.
Follow Ups:
I wish I could share your enthusiasm, petew, but it didn't impress me much. It is a good home theater demo, though. The idea of multiple paths is not that new and frankly after the secod path it became too tedious.
If you like that sort of European flavor, with violence, colors and beautiful cobblestone streets, "The Pusher" can't be beat.
And it all started with Rashomon(and should've ended there)
I'm watching "lola" while skiing on the Nordic Track (haven't sent it back yet). My heartrate stays pretty far into the red zone with this soundtrack on--and I absolutely love the way lola "stops the world" with her scream--a classic mystical technique. There are so many different ways to enjoy film. This one really pushes my workout buttons. I may have to buy it just for the exercise value.
Lola did it for me.The bag

VK is hard to please, but that was a great scene--one of many in this "little" gem.I've had moments like that--all in my head--and I love the way the director brings those "fuzzymath" mental firings out in a visual media.
This film is perfect. They got me--they caught me right between the heartbeats, sending me sideways on rivers of spacetime--forwards or backwards--past present future--has no meaning to Einstein or Merlin or petew lost in fantasy: the impeccable warrior
doin' it for love, with Death as your advisor.
I like everything about it.
and what about the scene with the glass????!!!
a tribute to past masters of physical comedy
i half expected buster keaton, harrold lloyd, the keystone kops or stanley and oliver to appear at any moment
and I'm not sure that would even interrupt the continuity of the film
I'm going to buy it.

Remember - lock the exit doors before turning it on.Perfect viewing on that Christmas night, after nice diner, when you feel you've had enough of that horny beast and his master. First, you watch the "Miracle on the 34th Street", you get everyone warm and cozy and relaxed, and then you quietly put Salo in the sliding drawer and press the button.
Let us know... Carpet cleaning is on me.
I agree! A great film. I caught it late one night on the movie channel. I love movies like this that keep you wondering, how this movie is going to end?
