Wow, what a metaphor for the JFK assassination! Grassy knoll, picket fence, grainy image of man in bushes, disappearing corpse (evidence). And this was a '67 release! A ground breaker for conspiracy movies. Hemmings actually did a superb job as a "hip" photographer and there was less skin than I remembered. 8^) Jane Birkin hadn't had her braces yet and was adorned with blonde hair while Sarah Miles and Vanessa Redgrave looked pretty hot. Interestingly, all the Yardbirds had blue eyes with the exception of maybe the drummer, McCarty, who wasn't shown.Interesting flashback. There is no telling how many young guys got the photograpy bug aftering see this . . . including me and a few buddies.

Oh yes!
One of my favorites. The editing is superb - the audience gets to know the dimensions/aspects of the park. When the protagonist visits the park after dark, the audience knows where they are in relation to the murder scene.Saw this at the Film Forum in New York about a dozen years ago - I still remember how quiet the place was as the photographer was recreating what he thought had happened. You could hear a pin drop.
by this film; he went on to be a Vogue fashion photographer (lucky bastard).
This film is quite different from the preceding ones of Antonioni--- it tries much harder to entertain--- but it still deals with the alienation of modern life.
I haven't seen it in years but his earlier stuff is ageless and I expect you're right about this one. Have you seen The Passenger?
