They did a good job. I felt as if it really was in the future, and the lighting wasnt so dark like most sciFi flicks. This one was fun, and the music seemed to capture the moment. Not Bad.
Follow Ups:
It's a remake of a 70's B-movie called "Parts: The Clonus Horror" which got a pretty good Mystery Science Theater 3000 treatment. They got a lot of mileage out of Peter Grave's appearance, mostly having him rip on that "No-talent hack Jack Perkins," his rival Biography narrator.
/*Music is subjective. Sound is not.*/
The movie sucked.
I fouund it over the top but a lot of fun.
..
All Scarlett did was mumble bad lines. There was absolutely no acting at all in that movie. The plot was tired, the actors slept thru their parts. It looked like the 4th day of a cocaine binge.
Personally, the less she talks the better... what not enough skin for ya?By the way, good observation... what kind of personalities would one expect being a clone?
however her ability to captivate was not used. As a whole the movie was a bummer.
as
yes, horrible.
I'll prolly catch The Island sooner or later. I may turn off brain before I pop in the DVD, but Hell, I don't think it was meant to be a documentary.

About Blue Velvet... I cant say its actually the worst, its one of them films that grew off me, rather than grow on. Very disturbing the more I see it.. I think I'm done with it now.
Probably my favorite Lynch movie. Some VERY disturbing images. I like it even better than The Straight Story.

Do you have an opinion as to why Dennis Hopper's character kidnapped
Isabella Rosselini's character's daughter? ~AH
The last one I walked out on was Gus van Sant's 'Gerry'.
Two guys getting lost in the desert saying, "You go this way and I'll go that way" for 3/4 hour.
Perhaps something happened towards the end but my impatience got there first.
loosely resembling the Nirvana guy's trajectory.
..I've liked some of his movies very much - My Own Private Idaho, Even Cowgirls (with the gorgeous Uma) & Drugstore Cowboy.
Maybe Gerry was a little too, duh, experimental?
He lost it for me, anyway, so, stupidly, I hesitate to go and see Elephant and his latest.
get Elephant. Seriously, it's brilliant. A nice "bookend" movie to Bowling for Columbine.
