I know what you mean. There's something captivating about her and yet there is something about her that is bothersome as well. But for me this happens when she is on screen.
She has strong presence that has one foot planted in an admirable feminine power, and the other foot in a self absorbed, rock headed singular vision. To me, Sigourney Weaver has a similar vibe. Both can be like Kate Hepburn on steroids.
S.S. certainly has an entertaining presence!
