but I do know what he means about disturbing. This film was a gut wrenching exploration of violence...and the darkness that lurks in humans.
As for Film Noir, I think RD sort of kicked the shit out of the genre, made it rude and spawned several subsequent followers....Some were actually pretty good, like 3 Days in the Valley, but others sucked, like Natural Born Killers.
