we are kept as the fly on the wall - and it merely shows rather than tells the way normal people act in their day to day lives. If it wins best picture I would not mind one bit...it came out with very little advertising and has grown popular on video (very similar to the way Shawshank Redemption did in 1994).I personally think Paul Giamatti should win for supporting actor over Dillon though.
I thought that it was an excellent movie. There were times when some of the acting wasn't completely believable, but that's not why I thought that it was so good: this movie makes the viewer think about their own thoughts and prejudices (I believe that we all have them, to some extent). There are times when I pondered, "Haven't I thought that same thing before? Don't I feel this way sometimes?" And I have generally considered myself to be unbiased, and unprejudiced.
It's worth a look, if only for the good that it might do for yourself.

Judging by the reaction on this forum alone, it was an excellent film.
