If I were given the chance to make a comedy with a good cast it would be Tom Waits, Woody Allen and myself. Together we'd do a spoof of easy rider. We'd all ride tricycles cross country with baseball cards jammed in the spokes to simulate chopper sounds. And we'd use the original LP of the movie as the soundtrack ticks and pops not overdubbed with digital hash. It'd be a riot! The dialogue would obviously be different but what a hoot!

That's coming from someone who has a Doctorate in the Philosophy of
Comedy. I graduated magna cum laude from The Jerry Lewis Institute
of Comedic Arts in Los Angeles in 1965. Unfortunately, I suffered
multiple broken limbs, contusions, bruises and broken teeth attaining
it! That made me wish that I had attended The Mort Saul Political
Wit and Wisdom Workshop Series at the Hungry Eye nightclub in San
Francisco instead. - AH
