  I've seen since I cant remember when. For a serious movie to be this stupid and pathetic.......I dont know what else to say. I could even predict some of the cliches coming, word for word. Awful attempt. You'd think Jodi Foster would have better taste in scripts...

    then you have obviously not seen "The Forgotten". We had the displeasure of seeing both of these movies back-to-back this weekend! The script for Flight Plan was not so bad really, it was the lack of acting and very poor direction that killed it. It would have been much more believable had it not been so poorly done. "The Forgotten" however was in no way believable and most of it was downright stupid. I at least enjoyed the shots of the interior of the "airplane" in Flight Plan.

      Seems like a great movie, full of suspense, and Ms. Jodie Foster look good. But the movie was the opposite of it.

  that guy plays a creep in every movie I've seen him in.

  Way before she saw the heart on the window I said to my wife; "she should go breath on the window to see if the heart is still there".

  Of course, she could have been the one that drew the heart in the 1st place.

    He was the creep in that recent voodoo or hoodoo movie too. He would be good in some roles, as a pure psychopath. However, he is too soft spoken and wierd to play your typical villan as in this movie.

  we'd be spitting popcorn at the screen every time.
  Flight Plan featured a nicely escalating performance from Jodie, a suitably evil villain, and a good amount of chills and thrills. In other words, a good "professional" entertainment. Sometimes one can appreciate a good chocolate sundae without dreaming of profiterroles (I know, I know... spelling!).

    No this film failed miserably on the second half, even more funny, her daughter being druged, she is still near her mother at the end...No doctor in sight...

      action parts was masterful. Did you miss the major plot piece where everyone was doubting her and she actually wavered for a moment, herself?

        I was waiting for the heart her daughter drew in the window five minutes before it happened. There was no suspense there for me.

        I thought Red Eye was a farce too. I'm getting back to Netflix so I don't lower my standards and rent stuff like those two films.

          I like both the home Netflix thing and theaters.
          You want real excitement? Rent "Blind Shaft." If that doesn't get your 5-stars then try Bus 174, a documentary of a botched hostage situation all of it shot "live."
          Anyhow, back to those two films: I thought Foster's acting elevated the one and that Irish actor (Ciannan Murphy?) lifted Red Eye.

            I see your point - Both performances were good but I had a few bones to pick.

            Cillian Murphy's role had some similarities to his "evil" character in "Batman Begins". Actors like Gary Oldman ( Christopher Walken in his prime) play dark characters with more range then Cillian mustered up for those two "bad guy" portrayals.

            One other thing- in the same way I have trouble accepting Tom Cruise as someone over 22 years old, I have trouble accepting Jodie Foster as a heterosexual female. I don't think she played a grieving wife and mother successfully. Personally, I just couldn't buy it.

            Either way, if you saw them in the theatre - Good for you! I think going to the movies and seeing a film on the big screen is where it's at ... Even though I'm glad I didn't shell out $10.50 each for those turkeys!

              your point about the excellence of Walken and Oldman is spot on. Cillian is a superb young-ish talent and needn't be compared to anyone.
              Jodie is a personal taste (or not, in this case) and I disagree: she totally convinced me as a Mom--- and she is one, you know. You must see a butch side I don't.
              And I never pay full price: our local theater is $5.75 matinee.
              Also enjoy reading your opinions, btw.
