Brit Crime at it's best. Daniel Craig shines and shows why he is the next Bond. He can project such steely-eyed intensity that it's frightening. He has a lot of silent "power" and presense. The plot was borderline Byzantine but good. All the players put in fine performances and Gambon is king.

...good actor in 'Open Range'. He and the director may have played that role of Irish-immigrant-turned-rich-landowner/rancher a little over the top, but I hated that character about instantly.
The BBC version of "The Singing Detective," "Gosford Park," and "Longitude (pardon the punctuation)." Gambon is a great one.
a damn fine flick and my first exposure to Gambon that I recall.
