I've seen both and enjoyed them very much.My amazing high school art teacher did some special effects on the second film. His name was Jerald Neidig. Mesa Verda HS.
This teacher brought out some creative stuff in my head like my "Shark Man" made out of clay... This man swims through the ground, had the arms like early Arnold and sporting the head of a great white.
The other was my nuke man... this was my idea of what a person would look like partially blown up by a nuclear bomb just out of the vaporization zone. (This raised some eyebrows in the open house display case)
Follow Ups:
The producer of the second The Fly, Kip Ohman, was a friend of my brother's who had an extremely "refined" sense of humor. I took them to see Jean-Luc Godard's Sympathy for the Devil way back when, circa 1970.
