I had never seen this one all the way through (just bits and oieces) although I own the DVD. So I watched it last night, I guess you'd call it a sort of action comedy. Gene Wilder stars as a business man taking the Silver Streak train from L.A. to Chicago. He has a one night stand with Jill Clayburg and then runs into some bad guys out to harm her publisher boss. Wilder is thrown off the train three tiomes before the film ends. About half way through Richard pryor shows up as a petty thief who teams up with Wilder against the bad guys. I did enjoy this and it's too bad that Clayburg went over to TV from feature films. Arther Hiller directed. The film was shot in Canada due to objectiuons from AmTrack.

Another over-the-top comedy/disaster film. It's pretty funny if you can catch it on tv, especially the really bad lounge singer!
One of my all-time favorite scenes in moviedom is right at the end when the train crashes into the depot. This is one of my all-time favorite movies, period.
